“Ayubowan” – Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Colombo Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our Tangerine Tours representative. After a smooth transfer, begin your journey to Kalpitiya. En route, visit Munishwaram and Manavari Temples, key sites on the Ramayana Trail. These temples are tied to Rama's prayers to Lord Shiva for divine guidance before his battle with Ravana, showcasing Sri Lanka's deep connection to the epic. In Mannar, visit Adam's Bridge (Rama Setu), a legendary chain of shoals said to be built by Rama and the Vanaras to rescue Sita. Though now submerged, it remains a significant Ramayana site. Continue to Jaffna. Overnight stay in Jaffna.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is an important pilgrimage site, Its is another Ramayana-related site. In the Ramayana, it is mentioned that Rama prayed to Lord Shiva at this temple before the battle with Ravana. Fort Frederick: Explore this historic fort built by the Portuguese in the 17th century and later expanded by the Dutch. It offers a glimpse into the colonial past and great views of Trincomalee Bay. Therefore proceed to Kandy via Sigiriya, En route visit to Sigiriya Rock, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks (Optional). Sigiriya, also known as Lion Rock, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient rock fortress dates back to the 5th century and was once a royal citadel. Prepare for a rewarding climb of about 1,200 steps to the summit. The ascent offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including lush forests and water gardens.
